Note that when all the XML Web services get created using VS .NET in the coming years and are stored in UDDI.org, behind a firewall on an intranet, or are used as the API in various software products, VFP 7.0 will be fully compatibable with those services since it can consume any XML Web services created with .NET and from other platforms also.

Check out http://uddi.microsoft.com/details/businessdetail.aspx?businesskey=0882157b-b6d5-4fbb-9def-0daa5ef2bcb6

You will see that Rick Strahl published the FoxCentral.net web service in UDDI. FoxCentral.net uses VFP7 on the server to create the web service, and any tool such as VFP 7, VS .NET, etc. can all consume the FoxCentral.net services. For example, you can use VS .NET and go to the UDDI browser and search to find FoxCentral.net and then build an ASP .NET using C# (or whatever) web page, all which calls VFP7 over HTTP. My point is, developers using VFP 7.0 will greatly benefit from all the XML Web services that will be created with VS .NET and other platforms in the coming years.
