I've seen scanner being called from within a VFP form (worked in VFP5 and later) using LeadTools OCX. It involved calling .TwainSelect and several other methods (setting the rectangle etc etc). It wasn't simple, and in the end had a bug which made it unusable - the scanned image would cover everything on the form, so ctrl+f4 was the only way out.

You may try Kodak imaging OCX which you probably have on your machine - check Tools/Options, Controls page, select ActiveX and make sure Kodak control is checked. Your camera probably has a proper TWAIN driver, and this control should be able to select the driver, and call it.
