Rightclick the project, look at Project info and find out which class is set as the projecthook. You can unhook it, hook a different one, or just open the class to see what's it doing. You can't open it while the project is open, because it's hooked, i.e. there is a projecthook object which will release only when project is closed.
I just tried to return .f. from my projecthook class, thinking it won't stay hooked (I need it only to CD to the project's home directory and to set the path so all the parts of the project are on it), but then the project won't open at all.
