Hi!
Does you trigger use ROLLBACK? If yes - here is an answer. Even when you have several BEGIN Transaction, Rollback cause reverting all changes and cancelling of ALL transactions (unlike in VFP). END transaction does decrease transaction level counter for the most recent transaction only, and does not update at all, indeed, until the last transaction is ended.
