The "=" is a must if you're including an expression which needs to be recalculated, like, say, a string which evaluates to a controlsource, or a function call.
Yes, I understand that is what "=" does, and I think it will work correctly. It's more a visual annoyance (when glancing at the property sheet) than anything else, if my builder copies properties this way.
