>Hello everyone,
>I have been a quiet observer of UT for the past few months, and recently I have been attending Craig Berntson's foxpro user group in Salt Lake, which by the way has been a great experience. Following Craig's advice, I am planning on attending GLGDW next week. This is my first conference, and I was wondering if anyone has any rookie advise/tips for me?
My advise would be to talk to as many other FoxPro developers as you can, basically network. Generally the short or long term leads and contacts you get from a conference (possible future customers, employers, partners, etc.) pays for the conference expenses many times over. The best feature about the Visual FoxPro product is the FoxPro community, and a conference is like a very large and formal multi-day user group meeting. You should go out of your way to stop and say hello to me and introduce yourself at the conference, I will be there to do the keynote session and also an IntelliSense session, and I am there throughout the entire conference talking to people.
