No you don't have to resort Crystal. VFP can't do multiple detail bands however it doesn't need to know actually you're doing multiple bands.
All it cares is you have to have total number of records as your detail lines.
You also don't need a union. If applicable you could of course create a union filling nonmatching fields with dummy values.
Create one dummy cursor as the report controller, relate it to multiple tables and use print when.
