Without installing additional programs, you can press "PrintScreen". This will copy the contents of the screen to the ClipBoard. Then you can paste into Paint, select a rectangle, copy it, and paste it in Word.
However, I strongly recommend getting a screen capture program - freeware or otherwise - like the excellente HardCopy.
