I need an auto increment function like the ones includes with MM for the primary key NewID() for another field.

Is it possible to use the NewID() function to auto increment a field other than the primary key?

I just tried unsuccessfully by adding an entry into the ID.dbf table, but NewID checks the “Database” property through CursorGetProp and it crashes even if I add a “dummy” table with the same entry into ID.dbf

I’ll create another function to auto increment fields, but I’d like to hear the advisse from other MM users.
