>>>Hello everyone,
>>>I have been a quiet observer of UT for the past few months, and recently I have been attending Craig Berntson's foxpro user group in Salt Lake, which by the way has been a great experience. Following Craig's advice, I am planning on attending GLGDW next week. This is my first conference, and I was wondering if anyone has any rookie advise/tips for me?

>>Get to each session early so you can get a seat up front. They generally don't allow flash or movie cameras (digital?) so use a tape recorder to get what is being said.

>>Ask plenty of questions.
>>Snatch every handout you can.
>>Get email addresses of everyone and/or company envolved.
>>Have fun!

>>For the hypochondriacs:
>>Take along a couple sets of latex gloves and 3-M face masks.
>>A 0.5% solution of household bleach will kill Anthrax spores, and all other biological organisms, will deactivate organophosphate nerve gases, but don't use it on your skin because it will cause cracking and create avenues of infection. Use 3% Hyrdogen Peroxide for use on your skin.

Or, skin off the flesh?
Your suggestion triggered a memory about an incident I read. A B24 bomber over Germany was hit by AAA and the tail section was blown off from the rest of the plane. The tail gunner's parchute protected him but was damaged beyond usefullness. He made a decision to jump free of the tail and die outside it.
His trajectory took him parallel to the slope of a mountain full of tall pine trees. His velocity was slowed considerably flying-falling through the upper limbs of the trees and then he landed in a big snow bank. German troops saw his tail section falling and saw him fall free of it. They followed him down and went to the location where he landed and dug him out of the snow bank, alive and uninjured. There were no tracks leading to the snow bank and from the snow bank they could look back along the trajectory of his fall and see the disturbed snowy branches that he had fallen through. The Germans came to the conclusion that God had spared his life for something special and was he given special treatement in the prison camp where he was intered.

After the war the tail gunner found employment working in a steel processing plant. One day, about 1950, he fell into a vat of sulfuric acid pickling solution and was well corroded before they retrieved him. I think it was in Reader's Digest. X-11 eh?
