There *HAS* to be a way to do This: Virtual Crystal Report
I need to write an app where the user fills in a data grid. The data is then populated into a recordset. I then need to take that data and run it through Crystal Reports for a nice, formatted printout.
I can do all of the above, but ONLY if I create .TTX and .RPT files for Crystal.
The problem then is, since this is all done virtually, there is no physical database, and the only way I can make Crystal work is to create a physical database. I am unable to get the data into Crystal otherwise.
All the examples and developer files I've found with Crystal Reports rely on having a physical database. I would think creating a virtual recordset shouldn't matter, except the .RPT file seems to want to point to a database when I create one from the .TTX file setup.
I want everything to remain within the program at runtime and merely print a crisp report.
I'm new to this level of programming so I hope this makes sense.
