You can 'partition' a grid in two parts.
For example: in left partition you can be in 'edit' mode and on the rigth side in 'browse' mode.
To see what i'm talk about in action, open a window with a grid on it and place your mouse cursor over the little black rectangle in the lower left side of the grid, wen the cursor change to a double arrow, click and drag to divide your grid in two 'partition'.
You can also do this programmaticaly.
Play with the following properties to do this:
-Partition
-Panel
-PanelLink
-View
