It could be converted to following:

X^26 - a*X^25 + a*b*X^24 - ....... - a*b*c*...*y*X^1 + a*b*c*...*y*z

That seems does not look like a simpified version, because this version is worse for programming (more operations and more risk of overflow).

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
