One thing you can do is to use _vfp.datatoclip(,,3), which will copy the content of your current alias, from recno() to the last record, in tab delimited format, to the keyboard, field names in the first line.
You can instantiate Excel object then and paste into a new worksheet; Excel does recogize this format and will distribute the content into cells. You'd have to provide a filename etc, but this is still the most lightweight solution I can think of.
