What is the nature of the K (contract) you have with this company?

>>>My personal opinion is never to use remote views.
>>
>>>I am in situation where I must convince a consulting company that is writing a VFP app for us that Remote Views are not the way to go and to use SQL Pass through. Politics are such that I must have documentation backing up my requirement to drop remote views.
>>
>>Hi Fred,
>>
>>It looks like you have enough advice on how to back up your opinion, one which I agree with. I've never used RV's. In fact, I'm currently working on converting a VFP app's back end to SQL Server. The application uses local views and I'm still going to use SPT.
>>
>>But I don't understand why you (the client) must convince the consultants (your vendor) to use SPT. Make them convince you that RV's are the way to go. Also, I'ld be concerned with their experience with C/S apps. Even if you convince them to use SPT it doesn't mean they'll use it efficiently!

>This consulting company was assigned by the corporate HQ. I'm ready to tell them to drop dead. This is the second VFP system they are working on for this company. They are not using any classes. There are atleast 15 forms with similar appearance and functionality. Each form was created separately from scratch. The Global memory variables within the forms are different. In the active method of all forms, they have a routine that loops through the controls on the form to set the background color. The main data table has 211 fields. The only child tables track links to information stored in other systems and audit history. I have requested to review their design documentation and they told me that no client has ever asked fot that so they don't feel like they should have to provide it.
>
>Their billing is just a break down of hours spent by each consultant with a total price at the bottom. I am refusing to pay until they can provide me with detailed billing records with supporting documentation. This bill has about 100 hours for programmers but just shy of 500 hours for testers.

>I have issues with them.
