Is there a way I can have a running VFP1.exe application call to, or interrupt, or fire an event on another running VP2.exe application without having to use polling or semiphore files or such things?

I would just like to have 1 send a string and fire an event in 2 asynchronously, without having 2 wait for it or look for it, or even know it is coming.
