Bases de données DAO/RDO/ODBC/ADO
<<>>
It seems to be close, but I have to admit, some if it is over my head.
However, if I read the code correctly, this person creates a TTX and RPT file from an EXISTING database.
In my case, the data does not exist except only at run time, which is by populating a recordset during program operation. I need to print that data in a professional format, hence the Crystal Reports.
When creating the TTX file, the Report Designer wants to "bind" the RPT file to an existing database, but it doesn't and never will physically exist. That seems to be my problem; I don't know how to make the Report Viewer display data when it seems to use the RPT file for a database to point to.
Is there way to do this via code within the various objects?
Would a work-around be to create a dummy/empty database, use that to keep the RPT happy, populate a table within the program, then just print? I think I can survive with a dummy/empty database that is never written to.
This is a tough one for me, it's quite a leap for my VB skill level.
Thanks
