I would like to create a compound index (for unique values) that uses only the date portion of a smalldatetime field. Does anyone have any idea if this is possible or perhaps an idea for a work around other than playing with triggers? Can formula's even be used in an index in SQL? I tried to modify the SQL index statement using the CONVERT function in the index expression but it wasn't happy with that. I'm still using VER 7.0, perhaps an option in SQL 2000?
