You mean to tell me that if DataClass was spinning $1M per year, right now, that you would not see a dime of that?

A pecuniary interest can exist without current benefit, or the expectation of benefit, or contingent on an agreement defining it.

I have lots of relationships like that: if some friends and customers do well, I do well.

Regardless, point being: you're not a completely disinterested party to the product and you should disclose that as a matter of course.
