If so, was it blood from her suicide?

How young was the lady?

Had she made this discovery before they got to the hotel?

Was the maid aware of the discovery?

Was the woman overreacting to the discovery? The answer is 'yes' (suicide is extreme)...let me rephrase the question: Did she discover something about herself that is actually very common?
