Not sure what you mean here. You mean configure a new VPN connection automatically? Possibly - maybe through the Windows Scripting Host? I don't know for sure.

If you mean a new VPN connection, yes. You should be able to launch it the same way you'd launch a dial-up connection. For dial-up connections I'm using a set of ActiveX controls from a company called Catalyst. It's their Visual SocketTools product. I'm sure there are other ways to do this via the API, but I don't have any code for it.

Once the VPN connection is established, it behaves just like a normal LAN connection. That means you can map network drives, open files, etc. the same way you would on a LAN.
