Dear John

>>start technical reasons why RV's are either superior or as good as SPT/SP<<

Sigh.

You have taken an absolute position on this topic. My point is that your absolute position is not technically sustainable. That is the start and end of my position.

I do not need to, and have no intention of, taking a similarly absolute stance on RVs. Think about it.

I have done my best in the Wiki to summarise pros and cons of various techniques as I see them. FWIW, many of the advantages of SPs you seem to think are news, were made by me or others in that Wiki many months ago.

I must say I am amazed at some of the examples you post. The most recent example about RV and the changed field name? Change "RV" to "SP" in your point and it is JUST AS LIKELY to apply. What sort of argument is that?

I understand you are a 2nd year law student, but as one with a whole raft of letters after my name, I must warn you that neither my peers nor I became infallible by getting all those letters- if anything, the uncertainty that comes with growing awareness made us more careful in our opinions.

Nice chat, but we're wasting bandwidth...

Bye,

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
