I got my VFP app emailing in 3 hours, and besides you don't have the need for a email client like Exchange or whatever. You can download the files from the 'Files' section.

I need to use an existing server. My app is being useed by a customer service department which automatically notifies the customer regarding certain types of activity on the customer's account. EMAIL.PRG hooks into the CS Rep's email folders and populated the Sent Mail Folder with the outgoing mail. This also allows the customer to respond to the indivdual who is most familiar with the account.
