If you want to develop VFP forms which get translated to HTML, check out DVRWeb here in the UT download section. I've used it and it works well.

The advantage of ActiveVFP over Foxweb is that it runs on top of ASP (more comfortable to many of our customers' IT shops) and is very low cost. The runs on top of ASP advantage is more a marketing than technical advantage in that it gives us a legitimate way to market our development solutions as ASP and COM based vs. VFP (a newer variation on the 'we develop using Visual Studio tools (vs. VFP)' marketing gambit!)

>Foxweb has absolutely awesome documentation and a more complete framework than ActiveVFP but its more expensive. However, relative to your time, the price difference here is totally inmaterial in my mind.

>West-Wind has some great products with an excellent for robustness and vendor support. If you're going to build your own 'ultimate' internet framework, I would recommend West-Wind's Wconnect and IpStuff IN ADDITION to either Foxweb or ActiveVFP. This is because these West-Wind's products provide a lot of cool internet related features for things like IP, FTP, email, that are not available (or not fully flushed out) in Foxweb or ActiveVFP. In other words (and IMHO), the West-Wind products complement vs. replace the above mentioned products. Of course, you can could just use West-Wind's products to build your entire solution as well. I have no experience to share here other than I found Foxweb and ActiveVFP to be simpler products to use for my personal projects. As always, your mileage may vary.

>You may also want to check out AFPpages from the German firm Prolib (http://www.active-foxpro-pages.de/new/). They speak excellent English so you might want to send them an email asking for more info in English. I've heard very good things about the AFPpages product but have no personal experience using it.

>Note that all of the above products (Foxweb, ActiveVFP, Wconnect, AFPages, etc.) require you to design your interfaces in HTML vs. automatically converting your VFP forms to HTML. I happen to think that this is a (VERY) good thing because rich client interfaces DO NOT automagically translate to a web environment in spite of any marketing hype you may heard to the contrary.

>I'm going to repeat my last sentence again because your agreement or disagreement with this premise will guide you in your search for the 'proper' tool as well as set your expectations for the skill set and resources necessary to accomplish your objectives ... 'rich client interfaces DO NOT automagically translate to a web environment in spite of any marketing hype you may heard to the contrary.'

>I've considered EPS's Voodoo. There are some very clever ideas here (and they have a great t-shirt!), but (IMHO), I think Voodoo's goals are too ambitious relative to today's technologies. I also think that the Voodoo product is a work in progress so you should be prepared to spend some extra time working around some of the rough edges associated with such a leading (bleeding?) edge technology.

>Regardless of which product you end up with, I strongly recommend taking the time to read and study all the support materials and articles posted on the West-Wind and ActiveVFP sites. This will give you the background you need as you begin to get serious about building internet applications using VFP.

>>I have been looking at FoxWeb, VooDoo, West Connect, etc. I can't decide which one to choose. We have been developing Fox applications for 15 years and want to create Web interfaces using VFP as the database engine. We are looking for a way to quickly create interfaces to incorporate with our web sites. We run serveral IIS servers.
