Glad you like our stuff. everything on the web site is VFP, though investors now insist we develop in Java in parallel- one of the "imaginary" side effects of Gartner criticism...
We can give you a hand with labs if you like. Assume from the start that you'll have different reference ranges- you will, for gender and age, especially pediatric, and you may need more than one lab as well.
Prescriptions are getting easy- lots of commercial formularies now, easy to write
Ah, encoding. I personally own 2 patents for coding clinical data automatically. This is a necessary basis for integrated care pathways, as you know. Happy to work on this with fellow VFP'ers!
Voice Recognition: we'd love to use it more... but it works in radiology, anatomical path, that's it. Everywhere else is too busy and noisy. for now!
We'd be interested in collaborating informally or formally if you like. I'd need to get "permission" from the board but that shouldn't be too hard...

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
