I tried it; and after coping the *zip.dll's over from the apps install; I still got "Run time error 53, file not found" as an error.
I found out why, I took the ppfile.exe and renamed it to file.exe -- it didn't like this.
If you leave it as ppfile.exe (or anyother name) and run it; it extracts file.exe extracted (and leaves it) in your apps directory.
the file is a VB app (50,000 bytes long) then a zip file attached to it; which is encrypted, and added to the end.
Not very secure. run the ppfile.exe once, then refox the app it takes out and leaves in yoru application directory.
I'd be cautious of this application
A) It's written in VB
B) no source is included
C) it uses 3rd party DLL's that are ZIP stuff
D) no email address is provided for support (i'd have just emailed the author to let him know it's not as secure as he thought)
E) it uses a static password (not random) for each "protection" you do.
