>I'm not surprised you've never heard of Hope Mills. Hope Mills is just southeast of Fayetteville and the two cities are almost one now. It's pretty much all one and the same. I'm about 90 miles from Raleigh via I40 and somewhat further via Hwy 87 or 210 (through Spring Lake and Sanford area). I'm a yankee originally (Wisconsin) myself and landed here 11 years ago from a year in Panama. Believe it or not, I know of 5 other VFP programmers here (I've worked with all of them locally).

I'm curious - since you live where you do and spent a year in Panama... Did you serve in the military or human services?

In line with the topic of this thread (don't want to get accused of abandoning the road or drifting) is that I think there are many Fox developers out there that are never heard from beyond their work environment. Those help populate the 85 percent I was talking about earlier. Many of those I'm sure only use Foxpro as it is relevant to the company they work for. They might be absolutely fantistic developers, but would fail miserably if asked many of the questions posed previously.
