Using SET Alternate, the maximum length may be less, like 217 or 219. (YMMV)

Jaime, if you are able put the data in to a table or a cursor, or especially if the proper data is already there, and if there are no memo fields, I strongly recommend COPY TO ... SDF. You will be thankful later if you need to modify the structure of the text file.
