I have a grid with 2 columns containing a combo. The first column is a combo filled with categories. The second column has a combo filled with sub categories. Once a category is selected, the subcategory combo changes to show corresponding sub categories.

Each combo has 2 columns, a description and a category code. The category code is the bound column and boundto = .t.. If sparse is set to .t. and the column loses focus the text displayed reverts to the category...I want it to stay the description. If I set the sparse to .f. the description stays and all is well, not.

First row I select a category that has 20 sub categories and then choose the 20th sub category. Now I go to the second row and choose a category that may only have 3 subcategories. Once the subcategory combo is changed to include these 3 sub categories I think it also changes for the first row because the sub category description disappears in the first row.

I am thinking that the answer lies within the displayvalue property but I can't seem to get this to work the way I want it to. Any ideas?
