As far as I know, unless you right your own encryption functions there are only 2 ways to have "real" encyrption over the internet.
1. Use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) with certificates. Cumbersome I am told to set up.
2. Use a Windows 2000 DNS server in combination with IE5 which will llow you to utilize "digest authentication". This is a hash algorithm that is supposed to be fairly secure. According to Microsoft. heheh.
