Actually, neither of your kind suggestions let VFP 7 programmatically capture the editor's window's text to clipboard on my machine. Whatever is different from VFP 6 just seems like it lets the code blow right past the KEYBOARD commands and effectively ignored them.

FWIW I also tried increasing my FOR...NEXT DoEvents loop from 5 to 50 iterations but saw no change.

Unfortunately I'm not the only one experiencing this. Or maybe it is fortunate and suggests that I'm not entirely crazy. Anyway, I'm going to do more digging.
