Hi Steve,

Maybe it is too simple, but how about disabling your timer when it detects the arrival of your file/record? Or when you start Distiller? Renable when finished?

>I have a small app that waits for data to become avaliable in a table that another app pumps to it. A timer fires every 10 seconds to watch. When a file shows up the app creates a string file and invokes Acrobat Distiller exe with the string. My problem is the Acrobat takes some time to do it's job and the timer go on creating an error that file can't be accessed.
