We are building report data classes which will return the data in a cursor which can then be used in various formats: VFP Cursor, Crystal Reports, XML, etc. Currently we are limiting ourselves to one cursor for simplicity. We have fields like the Company Name, which has one value for the entire dataset and is a farily large field. This gets duplicated for every record in the cursor. This is fine for a cursor or DBF, but if we want to convert the cursor to XML, it obviously will be overly bulky. Is there a better way? Is it feasible to send multiple cursors to Crystal or XML?
