I have a W2K Prof workstation. I log onto an NT 4.0 Domain Controller. Recently, while troubleshooting my cable modem/internet connection problem with Comcast support they wanted me to bypass my Linksys router and connect straight to the modem. To make a long story short, in doing that I had to change under Network Identification "Member Of" from Domain to Workgroup and reboot. Now when I go back to Member of Domain and log on as I always have in the past, it wants to set me up as a new user profile and I lose my desktop, email settings, program prefs, etc.

I am so frustrated. I have research the help, the MS site etc. I've looked at User Profiles, Passwords, etc. I can't figure out how to get my old settings back. This has happened to me on my laptop several times in the past. I always end up just re-setting everything up.

How to I get my User Profie back? Help!
