We have great success with RVs because of the backend issues- hospitals have a host of different standards, we do not want to disqualify ourselves for aany business.

But where we can control the backend we recommend SQL Server or Oracle and we use SP, SPT or RV. It depends. The ease of use of RV is still a major motivation for us.

Good work on the xml, we've got some cool apps using xml but only for the middle to front end layer, not to the database.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
