I tried carrying around an iPaq with an expansion interface. If you try to put that thing in your pocket, you'll need a fairly big trouser repair budget. < g >
You're right, if it won't go in your pocket, how do you carry it? Apparently in Japan they wear PDAs on a string around their necks. To allow you to get it far enough away to look at it comfortably, it would have to dangle at about the level of your belt or just below. I can just imagine the beast twisting and flailing about like a medieval weapon at the end of its cord.
