It probably is normal, unfortunately. I have run my apps on 486DX100's with 8Megs and it was.... OK. Obviously, a Dual Pentium 200 with about 96 Megs is your best bet, but..... (g)

I do all of my development (and initial testing) on pentiums, and once the app is loaded, it is fast enough.

VFP has a large overhead, so there isn't much you can do besides up your hardware.
