>Hello All,
>anyone know of a way to broadcast a message to one or more Win9X / Win2K workstations residing on a Novell network ?. From within my VFP apps I manage it by, setting a timer, which on firing, checks for the existence of a text file ( or such like ) and pop up a MessageBox on the workstation if the user is flagged ( in a user table ) as a message recipient, I would like to be able to do the same whether the user is running a VFP app or not. I've tried WinPopup with limited success ( user reads message and closes it ), any advice gratefully received

Pete,

The downfall of using Netware's built in messaging is I think it requires Novell Client32 to do what it I think you want. A message sent with the SEND command will show in a popup window on the receiving end, if the receiving end is uing Client32.

We use Client32 here and have no problems, but others on the UT seem to have problems with it. Also, the user interface on the Netware messaging system leaves something to be desired...
