I'm not positive, but it could have launched VFP itself. I know before VFP was added to Visual Studio, it was possible to get a version of Office that included Fox over Access.

Using ADO and OLE Automation you can usually get what you want. Its not that they decided to remove the VFP specific stuff, the situation appears to be that they are more interested in creating ways to get to Office data from many types of clients, thats why any code you use to get Office data (I'm assuming Excel and Access stuff) is portable to ASP/VB/VC++/VFP.

It makes alot more sense.
