>>Gary, the DBT is a memo file, just like an FPT. The DBC, DBX and DBT are simple re-named DBF, CDX and FPT files. You probably have a lot of extra unused space in your DBT file, just as you do when you make a lot of changes in a standard memo field. Make a backup - make 2, just to be safe :-) - then pack it, with the PACK DATABASE command. Should reduce the size to a reasonable amount.
