UNC has to be hardcoded into your BeforeOpenTables, right? So, why not keep the UNCs in a couple of public variables (say, path part only, or complete filename) which can be initialized some other way in some config file (setup.dbf, app.ini, registry, whatever) at setup time. Then use these variables to supply the UNC. It's then just a matter of these vars having different values for development and production environments.
