Strange question...

VFP is a semi-interpreted language. This compile first in p-code and in runtime compile to machine-code. So must be slow compile 50 skip than 1 skip 50.

But not all is get fast code. Clear code is best. So, if in a 1 line you can get the work of 50, keep with it!
