Because we know that in two years the hardware will be able to run it fast, and we'll have faith in our feature set.
I guess people think that every new Operating System shoudl be better, but just as fast on the exact same hardware? Wrong, unrealistic. Windows 2000 (released in 99) was supposed to run on year 2000 hardware, and XP (released the end of 01) should be on year 2002 hardware.
Anyways, those are my thoughts, and they reflect the computer user in general these days. Everything should work perfectly, quickly, and be free. I disagree... but what do you think?
