Something I had done in Perl and am toying with in VB, but would love to see really done in VFP, is using the FileSysNotifyChange() API call. Every time a change is made to the filesystem, the NT executive gets this broadcast from the disk subsystem. A VFP app could trap for this and process accordingly. Maybe Ed Ruah can put his $.02 on this one?

>One option is to use an EXE that sits in an idle state with a timer running, and you can check a directory to see if a file was added, or possible, in a cursor, you can use a record to trigger a process.
