And for the sake of curiosity, I want to add:
The main use I have for PFE or other NotePad replacements is for the end-user, to see text files, which I use to preview text-mode reports (custom-made, without using VFP report generator).
I tried different approaches here.
First, "modify command". Problem: syntax highlighting.
NotePad. Problem: size limitation.
NotePad replacements. The best I have tried is PFE.
Now, I let the users choose whether they want text-file or HTML-file (main advantage is that I can include bold and italic in report preview).
The users currently get their file opened with the default application for the extension (Download #
190), but they can still install PFE if they want.
Hilmar.
