Don't put too much weight on VFP ads. I was courting the same opinion as you a few months ago. But, I have discovered that VFP has a silent (protected) market. Recent experience with a contract has lead me to believe that VFP is superior to anything in it's class. I know C++ programmers who look at me with amazement. And I have found that people in other departments respect my work more than the work of some of my hard working C++ co-workers. The key to a VFP contract is a good solid demo to any company you suspect has database needs. After that, be confident and have hope.
