My understanding is that Microsoft is shipping an OLE DB provider with VFP 7. I assume this is to allow non-VFP apps (such as Active Server Pages and Windows Scripting environments) to leverage the features of OLE DB with Foxpro data. However, I cannot find details (specific to VFP) on what the OLE DB features are above and beyond capabilities provided by the legacy VFP ODBC driver used in conjunction with ADO, nor can I find info on how to redistribute this capability to somebody else who does not have VFP 7 installed ... for example, a client to whom I'm distributing an Active Server Page app that in part accesses a VFP database.
