Ken,

Sorry to direct this to you, but I hoped you'd bring it to the attention of those on the team who could help.

There are a couple of things we're having trouble with concerning VFP/VSS integration. They both have to do with the PJM file. Is it possible that the PJM support code could be written/released as a Fox PRG the way SCCTEXT.prg is? If that were so, we could "help ourselves."

The two problems are:

1. Project hooks do not survive when updating the project list / joining a sourcesafe project. I just received a reply from Garrett on this that it is by design since you can't include a VCX that is in use into VSS. Well, I agree with Garrett that that is the case, but it doesn't sound like a good design for me. If the PJMTEXT program were available, I'd just write a SELECT INTO that made "not in use" versions of the VCXes and check those in. That's my crude solution, I'm sure you guys could come up with something much cooler.

2. If you "get" a labelled version of a project in order to conduct a patch to an exe, there is no easy way to create the PJX from the historic PJM. The only thing I've been able to get to work is doing a share/branch from a labeled version using VSS and then attaching to that project. The PJX still goes a little nuts though. It will frequently lose track of which files to pull down.

If we could get access to the "PJMTEXT" program, I could solve my own problems.

Thanks for the time.
