I believe Kevin is well aware of that - if I understood his post right, the problem lies not in the simple vertical stretch that VFP report is capable of, but the "professional look and feel" Kevin wants to give to the letters produced by his application: basically, it would require a proper text reformatting capability. Hence, the need of an external component.
