Or could it be that some foreign keys on that new record are not right, so the relation pushes the related tables beyond EOF? The message really isn't clear, is he saying that the record pointers don't show for each record, or that the record pointer goes south and the other two grids go blank.

Sounds something as easy as "coordinating three browse windows in a foundation read" :). I think this is going to be a long, long thread until this is cleared.
